Highlights
Strap through the hanging hole. Wrap around the arm or pole, pass through the ring, and attach the magic clasp. The black ball has a specific angle, to ensure human temperature does not affect the meter's accuracy. Heat Index (HI) is sometimes referred to as the "apparent Temperature". The HI is a measure of how hot it feels when relative humidity (RH) is added to the actual air temperature.
The Wet Bulb Globe Temp. (WBGT) is a composite temperature used to estimate the effect of temperature, humidity, wind speed and solar radiation on humans. It is used by industrial hygienists, athletes, and the military to determine appropriate exposure levels to high temperatures.
