1400 Watt Powerful Motor

DEWALT DW831 is a corded 1400 watt motor with a no load speed of 10000 rpm. It supports a 5 inch cutting or sanding wheel (not included with the grinder) and has a 2 meter long cable.


Spindle Lock and Advanced Fan System

DW831 has a spindle lock for quick and easy disc changes. It has a sealed toggle switch that provides protection from dust and filings extending the switch's life. The advanced fan system provides maximum airflow.


Two Position Handle

Tool-free adjustable guard allows easy positioning for left or right-handed use.


Lock-on Button

Lock-on the button gives the user the option to keep the machine continuously running when doing repetitive operations. Trigger sensitive variable speed switch allows a user to drill slowly for precision accuracy when starting to drill a hole.


Longer Durability

The high-temperature resin-coated field for increased durability. Special air channels are designed into field case to optimize motor cooling.
